Ingredients

  • 1 large orange
  • 1 pkg. white cake mix
  • 16 oz. sour cream, divided
  • 2 T. poppy seeds
  • 1 - 1 1/2 t. orange extract, divided
  • 1/2 t. almond extract
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 c powdered sugar

Step 1

Heat oven to 350F
Grate half the orange, set aside, Cut remaining orange half into thin slices. Beat cake mix, 1 - 11/2 c sour cream, poppy seeds, orange zest and 1 t. orange extract. Batter will be thick. Pour into loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray. Bake 40 mins. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 10 min. remove to wire rack and cool completely.

Glaze:
Beat cream cheese, almond extract and remaining sour cream and orange extract in medium bowl until well blended. Gradually beat i sugar, spread over top of cake.
Garnish with orange slices.
