Hearty Beef Chili

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 2 cans mixed beans
  • 2 cups salsa
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup frozen corn
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 1 or 2 chopped peppers
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp. cumin
  • 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Brown and drain the ground beef. Add the ground beef and all the other ingredients, except for the cheeses, to the slow cooker; stir and cover with the lid. Set the slow cooker to the low setting (5-6 hours). Remove the lid and stir once again. Serve the chili in individual bowls and top with a combination of the four shredded cheeses.
