This scarlet cooler was on the menu at Chef Chris Yeo’s Straits in Atlanta. It melds strawberries, vodka, lime juice and Riesling for a brightly-colored, summery potation.

Ingredients
- 3 pounds strawberries, hulled and coarsely chopped
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons citrus vodka
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- Ice
- Chilled Riesling

Preparation
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine strawberries and sugar. Let sit at least 10 minutes, until berries release their juices.
In a blender, mix the drink in two batches. Start with half the strawberries, vodka, lime juice and 1 cup ice. Blend until smooth. Repeat with the remaining strawberries, vodka, lime juice and another cup of ice.
Pour cocktail into 10 tall Collins glasses filled with ice. Top with Riesling. If you’re feeling fancy, garnish with a lime wheel and small strawberry.
