- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- Stewed Chicken
- 1 onion
- 2 carrots
- 3 stalks of celery

Step 1
To make Stewed Chicken:
Clean whole chicken well
Cut up onion, carrots, and celery. Place chicken and vegetables in water(fill large pot about 1/2 way). Add salt, pepper, and some poultry seasoning.
Boil on medium heat for about 1 1/2 hours or until meat fall off the bones.
Dumplings:
Stir milk and eggs together. Add to dry ingredients all at once, just until damp, not smooth.
Dip spoon in hot broth) to prevent sticking) and take teaspoon portion of dumplings and drop in soft boil chicken broth. Once completed, cover and cook for 10 minutes. Serve at once.
