Ingredients

  • Bar:
  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • Filling:
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/4 cup soft margaine
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts
  • Frosting:
  • 1/4 cup margaine
  • 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

In large pan melt margarine and chocolate for bars over low heat. Add sugar, flour, nuts, baking powder, vanilla, and eggs. Mix well. Spread in greased and floured 9x12 pan.

Combine filling ingrediants.
Spread over chocolate mix. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes.

For frosting combine margarine, chocolate, cream cheese, and milk in a pan. Heat over low heat until chocolate melts. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth.

Frost bars immediately after removing from oven. Cool & cut into bars. Store in refrigerator.
