Easy Homemade Spaghetti sauce

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. ground turkey
- 1 c diced onion
- 2 tsps. minced garlic
- 1 (6oz) can tomato paste
- 2 tsps. dried basil
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. dry thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp. Fennel seed, lightly crushed
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 1 (28oz) can whole San Marzano tomatoes
- 2 c low sodium beef broth
- 2 tsps. A sugar
- 2 tbsp so. butter, optional
- Pasta of choice, cooked
- Parm. cheese for topping

Step 1
Add olive oil over medium heat. Add ground turkey, onion & garlic. Drain off excess grease. Stir in tomato paste into the mixture & cook for a minute or two then add basil, oregano, thyme, salt & fennel seeds. Cook stirring until well combined. Add whole tomatoes and all liquid from the an, breaking up the tomatoes with your hands. Add beef broth & sugar& stir to combine. Use the spoon to mash the tomato down to desired consistency.
Increase heat to medium & bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low & allow to simmer, uncovered for at least 30 minutes while you cook the pasta up to 2 hours to deepen the flavor so.
If the sauce is to acidic add optional butter & allow to melt into the sauce. Let stand for 5 or 10 minutes before serving to mellow.
Serve over cooked pasta & top with parm. Cheese
