Pineapple Bacon Burger with Rum sauce

Ingredients
- Rum sauce:
- smoked bacon
- fresh pineapple rings
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- onion, sliced
- hamburger buns
- 1 stick of butter
- pineapple juice
- few ounces of your favourite rum

Shape hamburger into tight balls to help them stay together on the BBQ.
Flaten burger ball and push a pineapple ring into it putting an indented hole in the centre to keep burger from expanding too much while cooking and falling apart.
Flip that over and repeat on the other side.
Season burger and then transfer to preheated grill.
Grill burgers on indirect medium heat. If you grill them too hot or too fast the pineapple will separate from the beef. About half way through flip the burgers over very carefully.
While burgers are cooking add butter to a small saucepan. Melt then add pineapple juice and rum, bringing to a boil. Boil until it thickens.
Place burger on a toasted bun, brush burger with rum sauce as well as top of bun, add raw onion and bacon and enjoy!
