Ingredients

  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 med onion, chopped
  • 1 package Uncle Bens Long Grain and Wild Rice Original Recipe, cooked
  • 1 pound Jimmy Dean sausage, cooked
  • 1 pound hamburger, cooked
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon (approx) poultry seasoning
  • garlic
  • worcestershire sauce
  • sage
  • parsley
  • salt
  • Herb-seasoned stuffing cubes (enough to stick together)

Preparation

Step 1

Chop and saute celery and onion until almost clear, set aside.
Brown sausage, crumbling while cooking.
Add hamburger to browned sausage, cook until done, crumble while cooking, drain fat.
Add celery and onion to meat mixture.
Saute mushrooms in butter or margarine.
Cook rice following directions on package, but don't let rice absorb all the water, be sure it is tender.
Combine meat mixture, rice, and mushrooms in a very large bowl.
Season with above spices to taste.
Add enough herb seasoned stuffing to mixture to hold it together. If you add too much stuffing mix add enough water to hold mixture together.
