Banana Split Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 stick soft margarine
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 stick soft margarine
  • 1 large can crush pineapple
  • 2 bananas sliced
  • 1 pkg dream whip
  • 6 oz. cream cheese- soft (room temperature)

Preparation

Step 1

Combine flour, brown sugar, pecans and 1 stick margarine.

Press into a 13x9x2 pan to form crust. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool.

Combine confectioners sugar, eggs and 1 stick margarine. Beat until fluffy (about 15-20 minutes) and pour over crust.

Drain pineapple well and spread over the batter then place bananas over the pineapple.

Prepare package of dream whip as directed on package. Whip in cream cheese. Spread on top and sprinkle with chopped nuts.

Top with cherries (optional). Cut into squares.
