Betty's English Toffee Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 c. butter -- room temp.
• 1 c. sugar
• 2 c. sifted flour
• 1 egg yolk
• 1 egg white
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Cream butter with sugar. Add egg yolk. Mix in flour.
Spray cookie sheet with Pam Baking Spray. Spread dough on cookie sheet.
Beat egg white until stiff -- spread on dough. Sprinkle with nuts.

Bake at 300 degrees for 40-45 min.
Cut while still warm.
