Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 to 6 pounds beef short ribs, cut into individual ribs
  • 3 medium onions, chopped
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 can (28 ounces) whole tomatoes, including liquid
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crumbled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups frozen pearl onions
  • 1 pound peeled, baby carrots

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Sear beef ribs on each side.

Place with the remaining ingredients in slow cooker crockery.

Cover. Slow cook 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

Skim fat from sauce before serving.
