Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cake mix
- 1 tblsp. Baking powder
- 4 tblsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup grated butter
- 1 egg
- 1-3/4 cup cream
- Add ins: mini chocolate chips, cinnamon chips, blueberries, strawberries, pecans

Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients in bowl. Add the butter and mix in with fingers. Make a well and add the mixed wet ingredients. Use a fork to work it in. Then transfer to a floured cloth and knead a little bit.
To form I like to roll into a three inch rope shape, then pat the top down till flat and about one and a half inches thick. Then with a sharp knife I cut the scones into triangles.
Put onto cookie sheet. Rub a little af the cream- egg mixture on the top and then some coarse sugar.
Into the 400* oven for 15 minutes. Makes a dozen. Frost if desired. Why you would not desire is beyond me.
