Escalloped Apples

Ingredients

  • 6 tart apples, pared and sliced
  • 1 C water
  • 1 C sugar
  • 2 Tbl cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

place apples in water and cook slightly. Remove apples and place in caserole dish and dot with butter. add rest of ingredients to reserved liquid. Cook until liquid thickens. Pour over apples and bake at 350 for 60 minutes.
