Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups of warm water
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 cups of pre-cooked white cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella, shredded
  • 1/4 cup provolone, shredded
  • 1/2 cup cheddar, shredded
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese, crumbled
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Preparation

Step 1



Pour the water in a bowl. Add the salt and dissolve. Slowly add the cornmeal. Knead until smooth. Add the mozzarella, provolone, cheddar and blue cheese.

Form balls with your hand or an ice cream scooper and fry in oil on high heat until golden brown. Serve with a spicy guava marmalade or a creamy cilantro garlic sauce.

Yield: 4 servings
