Preparation
Step 1
1. Dissolve 2 packets of lime jelly in 250ml of hot water. Stir in 250ml of vodka.
2. Lightly grease a large casserole dish with oil and wipe away the excess with a paper towel.
3. Pour the lime jelly into the casserole dish and refrigerate until set (about 3 to 4 hours, but it can be left overnight).
4. Make the white layer by melting 24 grams (two sachets) of gelatine powder in 300ml of hot water, then stirring in the sweetened condensed milk and 200ml of vodka.
5. Allow to cool then gently pour over the set lime jelly - use the back of a spoon to aid a soft pour.
6. Set in the fridge for around 3 to 4 hours.
7. The orange layer is exactly the same as the lime jelly but just a different flavour. Repeat instructions in step 1 using the orange jelly instead.
8. Gently pour the orange jelly over the set white jelly - use the back of a spoon to aid a soft pour.
9. Set in the fridge until ready to serve.
10. Loosen the edges of the jelly with a sharp knife (warming the knife in hot water may help here), then flip onto a chopping board.
11. Cut into small irish flag shapes, serve and enjoy!
