Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup margarine
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp. soda dissolved in 1 tsp. hot water
• 2 1/3 cup flour
• 1 tsp. salt
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 6oz. pkg. chocolate chips (or more)

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven 375*

Mix shortening, sugars, egg, and vanilla thoroughly. Blend dry ingrediants together. Mix in chocolate pieces. Refrigerate for several hours. Drop by teaspoonfuls of dough about 2" apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
