Ingredients
- 3 lbs apples (about 9)
- 2 T lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t nutmeg
- 1/3 c flour
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup rolled oats
- 4 T cold butter
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375.
Grease a 9 inch square baking dish and set aside.
Peel, core, and chop apples and place in a bowl. Add lemon juice.
In a second bowl mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add the apple mixture.
In a third bowl combine flour, sugar and oats.
Cut butter and mash into the flour until crumbly.
Stir in walnuts
Spread the apple mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle the flour mixture on top.
Bake for 30-45 min or until apples are tender and topping is lightly browned.
Serves 8
