Ingredients
- 1 lb (455 g) lean ground beef
- 1 - 16 oz (457 g) can chili beans
- 1 - 8 oz (228 g) can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) salsa sauce
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chili powder
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) garlic powder
- 2 cups (500 ml) coarsely broken tortilla chips
- 1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) green onions, sliced
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) medium tomato, chopped
- 1 cup (250 ml) shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1
1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until it is brown, stirring occasionally.
2. Drain off the excess liquid. Stir in the beans, tomato sauce, salsa sauce, chili powder & garlic powder. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally.
3. Place the tortilla chips in an ungreased casserole dish. Top with the beef mixture. Spread the sour cream on top of the beef. Sprinkle the onion, tomato & cheese on top.
4. Bake, uncovered, in a preheated 350ºF (180ºF) oven for 20 to 30 minutes or until the casserole is hot & bubbly.
