Comfort Cookie. Your old time favorite just like Mom used to make you.

Ingredients

• Topping:
• 1 1/2 Cups Sugar
• 1/2 Cup butter or margarine Softened
• 1/2 Cup Shortening
• 2 eggs
• 2 3/4 Cups All purpose unbleached flour
• 2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/4 Cup sugar
• 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Pre-Heat Oven to 400 Degrees

Mix sugar, butter, shortening & eggs in large bowl.

Mix all dry ingredients in bowl and when mixed, Stir into other bowl

Shape dough in 1 1/4 inch balls or spoon drops. Roll dough balls in topping sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 8 - 10 Mins or until set. Remove from cookie sheet to cool on wire rack
