Ingredients

  • Pastry for 9" two crust pie
  • 1 lb. ground beef (browned)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cups minced onion
  • 3 cups shreded swiss cheese (12oz.)
  • 6 eggs well beaten
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. cayenne red pepper
  • 2 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Step 1

Heat oven 425*

Prepare pastry in rectangle 17x12. Place in jelly roll pan. Brown beef. Sprinkle with salt. Layer cheese, onions, and beef in pastry. Pour egg mixture over.

Bake 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350*. Bake 15 minutes more or until knife comes out clean. Sprinkle with paprika. Stand 10 minutes before cutting.
