Ingredients
- 1/8 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (1 large lemon)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 garlic clove, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 15 oz. can chickpeas, rinsed and shelled
- pinch of cayenne
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil, more as needed

Step 1
Whip tahini and lemon juice together. Add salt, garlic and cumin and continue to whisk together.
In the bowl of a food processor, add tahini mixture, half of chickpeas and cayenne. Process for 2 minutes as you slowly add the olive oil. Scrape sides of bowl and add remaining chickpeas and process for 2 more minutes. Add more olive oil (or lemon juice or water) to desired consistency.
