Ingredients

  • 1.5 pounds flank steak
  • 1/4 C cornstarch
  • 2 Tbl olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 3/4 C soy sauce
  • 3/4 C water
  • 3/4 C brown sugar
  • 1 C grated carrots
  • green onions, for garnich

Preparation

Step 1

Cut steak into thin strips. In a ziplock bag, add steak and cornstarch. Shake to coat.

Add olive oil, garlic, soy sauce, water, sugar and carrots to slow cooker. Stir. Add coated steak and stir again until coated with sauce.

Cook on high 2-3 hours or on low 4-5 hours until cooked through and tender.

Serve over rice and garnish with green onions.

Makes 4-6 servings.
