Ingredients

  • 4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup solid Cisco
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup king syrup
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Make crumbs with the first 3 ingredients. Save 1 cup for the topping. To the remaining crumbs add the king syrup and boiling water that has the baking soda stirred in. Pour into greased 13x9 bake pan. Sprinkle the saved crumbs over top and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Tastes like shoo-fly pie without the crust!
