Ingredients

  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 c. matzo cake meal
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 egg whites

Step 1

Mix sugar, butter, and cocoa together. Beat egg yolks; add to first mixture, and then stir in matzo cake meal, salt, chopped nuts, and milk. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in to blend. Spread into greased 8-inch square pan, and bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Before cutting into squares, sprinkle powdered sugar on the top, if desired.
