Ingredients

  • 8 c. Iceberg Lettuce (1 sm. head)
  • 1/2 c. Finely chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 c. Finely chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. Thinly sliced red onion
  • 1/2 lb. Fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 teas. Lemon juice
  • 1 3/4 c. Frozen peas, thawed
  • 2 about 2 c. of mayo
  • 1 c. Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 3 slices of bacon cooked crum.(or bacon bits)

Step 1

Layer 1st five ingredients in order in a large glass salad bowl. Toss mushrooms with lemon juice before layering to keep them from turning brown. Top with peas. Spread mayo as frosting over all in bowl. Refrigerate overnight. Before serving sprinkle w/ cheese & bacon.
