Ingredients

  • 2 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 pound butter or margarine
  • 1 1/4 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnut bits
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

Butter a large cookie sheet and sprinkle with walnut bits. Spray a large skillet with Pam or other vegetable shortening. Place brown sugar and butter in the skillet over medium heat and cook for 12 minutes, or to 285 F on a candy thermometer. Pour cooked candy over nuts on the cookie sheet and sprinkle with chocolate chips. When chips are partially melted, spread with knife and then sprinkle with finely chopped nuts. Chill for 30 minutes and break into pieces.
