Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 3 teaspoons sambal oelek
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 375g jar smooth peanut butter
- 1 1/2 cups of milk
- 1 1/2 cups of water
- 4 tablespoons tomato sauce
- 6 tablespoons ketjap manis

Preparation
Step 1
Method:
1. Place peanut oil, sambal oelek, garlic and ginger in to a medium saucepan over low heat. [Note: allow the oil to heat and absorb the spices.]
2. Add the peanut butter. Stir thoroughly until the peanut butter is completely softened.
3. Add the milk. Stir thoroughly.
4. And the water. Stir thoroughly until it is nice and smooth – all ingredients should be thoroughly mixed and it should be thickened (so not too viscous).
5. Add the tomato sauce gradually. Stir thoroughly.
6. Add the ketjap manis gradually. Stir thoroughly.
7. Keep on low heat and continue stirring for 15 minutes.
8. Removed from heat.
