Ingredients

    c butter, softened

  • ¼

    c shortening

  • ¼

    c peanut butter

  • ½

    c packed brown sugar

  • ¼

    c sugar

  • ½

    t vanilla

  • 1-½

    c flour

  • ¼

    c semisweet chocolate pieces

  • ¼

    c milk chocolate pieces

  • ¼

    c honey-roasted peanuts

  • 36

    bite-size miniature chocolate-covered peanut butter cups

Directions

Preheat oven at 350. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, shortening and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium-high speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar, sugar and baking soda. Beat until combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour, chocolate pieces and peanuts. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2" apart onto untreated cookie sheets. Press a peanut butter cup into each cookie. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Transfer to a wire rack and let cool.
