Ingredients
- 2-1/2 cups water
- 2 black tea bags
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/8 tsp ground allspice
- 1/8 tsp ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 " piece fresh ginger, sliced
- Pinch cayenne pepper, optional
- 4 Tbsp honey, divided
- 2 tsp fresh lemon juice, divided
- 2 oz Irish whiskey, divided
- 2 thin slices of lemon, divided, for garnish

Preparation:
In a small sauce pot, add the water, tea bags, cardamom, allspice, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, and cayenne pepper. Bring up to a boil, then remove from the heat.
Set out 2 (10-oz) mugs. In each mug, place 2 Tbsp honey, 1 tsp lemon juice, and 1 oz whiskey.
Strain the tea mixture, divide it between the mugs, and stir until the tea dissolves the honey. Top each with a lemon slice.
