Almond-Mushroom Aspragus

Ingredients
- ● 1 lb. fresh asparagus or 2- 10 oz frozen asparagus, cooked and drained
- ● 2 tbsp butter
- ● 3/4 cups fresh sliced mushrooms
- ● 2 tbsp flour
- ● 1/2 tsp salt
- ● 1/8 tsp pepper
- ● 1 cup half & half
- ● 1/2 cup toasted almonds, chopped
- ● 1/2 cup American cheese, grated

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 450℉.
Arrange asparagus in 1 1/2 qt. baking dish.
In med saucepan saute mushrooms in butter
Add flour, salt and pepper; mix well.
Slowly stir in half and half. Cook and stir until thickened.
Pour sauce over asparagus. Sprinkle with almonds and grated cheese.
Bake 4-5 mi or til cheese melts.
Serve immediately
