  • 1/2

    cup butter, softened

    cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 1/4

    cups sugar

    tsp baking soda

    tsp baking powder

  • 1

    tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/4

    tsp salt

  • 1 1/2

    cups milk

  • Peanut butter cream frosting

Directions

PREHEAT OVEN TO 350. MELT OVER HOT WATER (NOT BOILING), ½ CUP NESTLE TOLL HOUSE PEANUT BUTTER MORSELS; STIR UNTIL SMOOTH. SET ASIDE. IN SMALL BOWL COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING SODA, BAKING POWDER, AND SALT. SET ASIDE. IN LARGE BOWL COMBINE BUTTER AND SUGAR, BEAT WELL. BLEND IN MELTED MORSELS. BEAT IN EGGS AND VANILLA EXTRACT. ALTERNATELY BLEND IN FLOUR MIXTURE AND MILK. POUR INTO 2 GREASED AND FLOURED 8-INCH ROUND CAKE PANS. BAKE AT 350 DEGREES FOR 35-40 MINS. COOL 10 MINS; REMOVE FROM PANS. COOL COMPLETELY. FILL AND FROST WITH PEANUT BUTTER CREAM FROSTING.
