Ingredients
- 1 pound trimmed, boneless beef sirloin
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 medium head red cabbage, shredded (1 1/2 cups)
- 1 bunch green onions, trimmed
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup ponzu sauce
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Shredded cabbage or butter lettuce

Preparation
Step 1
Pound beef sirloin into a 128-inch rectangle (1/4 inch thick). Season with black pepper. Layer cabbage, green onions, and toasted sesame seeds across long side of beef. Roll up tightly; secure with toothpicks. Slice 1 inch thick.
In a large skillet heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Working in batches, cook slices 3 minutes per side then remove from skillet. Add ponzu sauce; cook 3 minutes, scraping up browned bits. Pour over slices. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
