Chocolate Caramel Bars

Ingredients
- 14 oz bag caramels, unwrapped
- 5 oz evaporated milk
- 18 oz cake mix (German chocolate, Devils Food, or Chocolate w Pudding)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 6 oz semi sweet chips
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation
Step 1
Melt caramels with 1/3 cup evaporated milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
Combine remaining evaporated milk, cake mix and margarine. Mix well.
Press half of the cake mixture into bottom of ungreased 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 6 minutes.
Sprinkle chocolate chips and 1/4 cup nuts over crust.
Drizzle with caramel mixture.
Top with dollops of the remaining cake mixture. Press gently into the caramel mixture.
Sprinkle with remaining walnuts.
Bake at 350 18-20 minutes.
Cool slightly and cut into bars.
