Ingredients
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 t vanilla extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 t baking soda
- 1/8 t salt
- 12 oz M&Ms chocolate mini baking bits
- 3/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
In another bowl combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Blend into the creamed mixture.
Stir in M&Ms and nuts.
Drop by heaing tablespoonfulls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-13 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and centers are soft. Do not over bake.
Cook 1 minutes on cookie sheet and transfer to wire rack.
