Ingredients

  • 5 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 ,5 decilitre honey
  • 4 decilitre rye flour
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla sugar
  • 3 teaspoons cinnamon, ground
  • 3 teaspoons cloves, ground
  • 3 teaspoons ginger, ground
  • 150 gram butter, melted
  • 200 gram butter, room temperature
  • 600 gram powdered sugar
  • 100 gram cream cheese
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice (1/2)

Preparation

Step 1

Preparation1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees celcius.

2. Whip eggs with honey until fluffy

3. Sift flour and spices over the fluffy egg mix and gently stir it in with big, round movements. Making sure the air will stay intact.

4. Add melted butter and gently stir it in.

5. Pour over in a small, buttered cake pan and bake in the oven for around 40-45 minutes.

1. Whip butter and powdered sugar until white and fluffy.

2. Add lemon zest, lemon juice from 1/2 a lemon and cream cheese. Whip until smooth.

3. Make sure the cake is fully cooled before decorating with the butter cream!
