Ingredients
- French Silk Frosting:
- 1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1-1/3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 ounce melted unsweetened chocolate, cooled
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon milk

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour square 8x8x2 pan. Beat all ingredients except frosting in large bowl on low speed. Beat 3 minutes. Pour batter into pan.
Bake for 35 minutes. Bake until wooden toothpick comes out clean.
Frosting:
Mix all together and frost the cake.
