Ingredients

  • Lettuce (I use iceberg)
  • Red onions
  • Waterchestnuts-chopped
  • Celery
  • Peas (one 10 ounce package, cooked)
  • 2 cups Hellmans mayonnaise
  • 3 T. sugar
  • shredded cheese

Preparation

Step 1

In a large salad bowl layer in order from bottom, lettuce, red onions, waterchestnuts,celery and peas.

Mix 2 cups of Hellmans mayo with 3 T. sugar, spread over top of salad. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover with saran wrap for 24 hours in frig.

Toss before serving.
