Ingredients

  • 6oz box long grain & wild rice mix
  • 1 lb hot sausage
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 8oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 8oz can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 3 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • Lemon slices & parsley, to garnish

Preparation

Step 1

Cook rice according to package directions.
Cook sausage, ground beef, & onion together. Drain well.
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients. Transfer to 9x13 baking dish.
Bake at 300 degrees for 20-30 minutes.

Can be chilled overnight-- if so, bring to room temperature (30 minutes). Cook uncovered at 325 degrees for 50 minutes.
