From Tana Doerr: 'I used Cherry, they are best this time of year (December), dill pickles we canned, about half as many as tomatoes and some red and green onions again half the amount of pickles. I add some pickle brine, salt, pepper, and dill weed. Enjoy! Oh we call it "Cliff Salad," after one of my dad's second cousin's husband who first made it. I remember it from picnics as a kid.'
