Ingredients

  • 1 1/4

    C cake flour, sifted

  • 1/2

    C sugar

  • 1 1/4

    t baking powder

  • 3/4

    t salt

  • 1/8

    t ground nutmeg

  • 1/2

    C buttermilk

  • 1

    egg, lightly beaten

  • 2

    T butter, melted

Directions

Heat oven to 425 deg. Spray doughnut hole pan with PAM. Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Add remaining ingredients. Stir just til combined. Fill each cup 3/4 full. About one rounded tablespoon. Bake 6-7 minutes or until tops of doughnuts spring back when touched. Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack. Finish with glaze or powder sugar. Makes 20 doughnut holes.
