Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup small uncooked pasta shells
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cans (14 1/2 oz each) beef broth
  • 1 pkg. 916 oz) frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 can (16 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 can (145 1/2 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 3 tea. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tea. salt
  • 1/4 tea. dried thyme
  • 1/4 tea. dried basil
  • 1/4 tea. pepper

Step 1

Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.

Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes.

Drain pasta and add to the pan. Cook 5 minutes longer or until heated through.
