Vanilla Vodka Holiday Cocktail Gift

Ingredients

• VANILLA SIMPLE SYRUP:
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup water
• 1/2 vanilla bean (split)
• VANILLA VODKA COCKTAIL GIFT:
• 4 ounces vodka
• 2 tablespoons vanilla simple syrup
• 1/4 vanilla bean
• soda water (to serve)
• ice (to serve)

Preparation

Step 1

For the Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan add the sugar and water, bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer allowing the sugar to dissolve. Remove from the heat, add the vanilla bean and allow to infuse for 24 hours.
For the Cocktail Gift: In a small carafe, add 4 ounces of the vodka, 2 tablespoons of simple syrup and 1/4 of a vanilla bean. Place a bow on top as a gift.
To Serve: Place ice in a glass, add half of the vanilla vodka mixture and top with soda water.
