Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup shortening
- 3/4 Cup Peanut Butter
- 1 1/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 Cup all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 8 oz (1 1/3 Cup) toffee bits; divided

Step 1
1. Heat oven to 375.
2. Beat shortening, peanut butter, sugar, milk, & vanilla until well blended.
3. Add egg; beat just until blended.
4. Combine flour, baking soda, & salt; gradually beat into peanut butter mixture. Stir in 1 cup toffee bits; reserve remaining for topping.
5. Drop by heaping teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Top each with reserved toffee bits.
6. Bake 7-8 minutes or until set; do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes. Remove to wire rack.
