Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice (not minute rice)
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 teaspoon butter or teaspoon margarine
- 1/8 teaspoon salt

Step 1
1. Using a 2 quart casserole dish with lid, put rice, hot water, butter and salt in dish.
Stir.
2. Cover, and microwave on high power 5 minutes. Stir with fork.
3. Cover and put back in microwave and cook on medium this time for 15 minutes.
4. Remove lid and fluff with fork.
5. Let stand 2-3 minutes.
6. Serve.
