Ingredients
- (2) In a saucepan, bring the following to a boil:
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 t. soda
- 1 t. cinnamon
- (1) Sift together and set aside.
- 1 c. water
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 vegetable cooking oil
- 4 T. cocoa
- Add to dry ingredients mixing well. Set aside.
- (3) Mix: 1/2 c. uttermilk, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. vanilla. Add to chocolate batter.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or longer in greased/ floured pan.

Step 1
Chocolate icing:
1 stick margarine
4 T. cocoa
6 T. milk
1 (1 lb.) powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
Place margarine, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, being careful not to scorch. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and pecans. Sparead on hot cake.
