Ingredients
- Glaze:
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 can cherry pie filling
- 1 cup confectioner's sugar
- 1-2 Tbsp milk
- Dash vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 1 15-inch or 2 9-inch pans.
Blend sugar, margarine, and vegetable shortening. Add baking powder, vanilla, almond and eggs. Beat 3 minutes on high speed. Stir in flour.
Spread 2/3 of batter in pan. Cover with pie filling. Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls onto pie filling. Bake 45 minutes.
While cake is still warm, drizzle with glaze.
