- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups confectioner's sugar, sifted
- 4 to 6 tablespoons light cream, scalded
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter and salt.
Gradually beat in the confectioner's sugar alternately with light cream.
Ad vanilla extract and beat until creamy and of good spreading consistency.
Makes enough to spread top and sides only of two 9" layers.
