Ingredients
- 5-6 large green peppers
- 1 1/4 lbs. ground beef
- 1 small onion (chopped)
- chopped green peppers from tops of peppers
- 1 cup green chilies or 1 jalapeno (chopped)
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tbsp. salsa or picante sauce
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash garlic powder
- 1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Step 1
Pour scalding water over peppers in large pan, cover. Let stand about 5 minutes or until softened. Brown beef in skillet. Set aside. Saute onions and green peppers from tops in 1 tbsp. oil or butter until soft. Add tomato sauce, water, spices, onions, green peppers and rice. Mix well. Spray casserole dish, stand peppers upright. Fill. Top with shredded cheddar cheese. Cover or use foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
