Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups elbow macaroni
- 5 Tspn butter, divided
- 3 Tspn flour
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2-oz american cheese, cubed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 Tbsp dried breadcrumbs

Preparation
Step 1
Cook macaroni, place in greased 1-1/2 quart baking dish. In pan melt 4 Tbsp butter, stir in flour til smooth. Gradually add milk and bring to boil. Stir for 2 minutes, reduce heat. Stir in cheeses, salt and pepper til melted. Pour over macaroni, mix well. Melt remaining butter, add bread crumbs. Sprinkle over macaroni and cheese, then bake.
Bake 375* 30 minutes
