  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • pinch salt
  • 10 slices cinnamon raisin bread

Step 1


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bring milk and butter to a boil and set aside.
Mix eggs and sugar in a large bowl.
Slice your bread into cubes and stir into the egg mixture.
Pour milk mixture over the bread and stir until well mixed and bread is soaked and coated.
Scoop into an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Place casserole dish into a hot baking pan of water and place both in the oven.
Bake 40-45 minutes, or until it springs about an inch from the casserole dish's edge, or until a knife comes out clean. Serves 8
